Maria Deprang-Klein

Founder, Nuyu Med Spa

MSN, NP-C, Certified Nurse Practitioner

Maria is the founder of NUYU Medspa in Albuquerque She is a board certified nurse practitioner with a Undergraduate Bachelors of Science degree from Texas Christian University in Fort Worth Texas and then received her graduate training from Simmons College in Boston Massachusetts.

Maria is a skilled cosmetic injector and known for producing natural and transformative results, Maria has had a love for art and owned a Faux Finishing restorative painting company in the 90’s. It was suggested to her that since she was an RN and had a love for art that the cosmetic aesthetic industry would be a fulfilling career move. She has not looked back since and continues to learn, grow and improve on her aesthetic skills.

Along with the love of aesthetics she also focuses on the wellness of each patient and maximizing their quality of life Hormone replacement therapy and weight loss management are also offered.

Maria enjoys designing anything, gardening and flying small aircraft. She received her pilot’s license in 2002 but finds little time to fly these days. She has 3 sons and grew up in 5 different countries and now calls Albuquerque New Mexico home.

Sheila Candelaria

LASER TECHNICIAN & LICENSED AESTHETICIAN

Sheila is a dedicated laser technician and licensed aesthetician with a strong passion for empowering others to feel confident in their own skin. With 8 years of experience in the field of aesthetics, she embarked on her journey in aesthetics in 2015, and to expand her expertise, she pursued further education at the National Laser Institute of Dallas, achieving certification as a laser technician. Sheila has become a true luminary in the world of aesthetics and possesses a remarkable skill set in corrective skincare, coupled with a deep understanding of laser theory and knowledge. Her philosophy revolves around focusing on simple yet effective routines as the cornerstone of healthy skin. Her unmatched skills are only an addition to her genuine care for each client leaving a trail of adoration in her wake. Joan Hurst

OFFICE ADMIN & HUMAN RELATIONS

Joan Hurst brings a wealth of diverse experience and a passion for community engagement to her role as Business Development and Manager at Nuyu MedSpa. With a dynamic background spanning multiple industries. Prior to joining Nuyu MedSpa, Joan was a successful entrepreneur, owning her own commercial embroidery business. Her creative flair and attention to detail made her a standout in this field, where precision and artistry are paramount. Joan’s venture into real estate further showcased her versatility. As a licensed real estate broker, she not only navigated the complexities of the real estate market but also provided top-notch administrative services to other real estate brokers . Her commitment to excellence and ethical practices earned her a reputation as a trusted advisor in the real estate industry. Now, as a key member of the Nuyu MedSpa team, her unique combination of skills and experiences make her the ideal leader for business development, ensuring that Nuyu MedSpa continues to thrive and expand its reach. We are thrilled to have her on board as we work together to redefine beauty and wellness. 

Halle Hibbits

MEDICAL ASSISTANT

Introducing the vibrant soul of Nuyu Medical Spa, Halle Hibbits. Beyond her impressive credentials – a dual degree in Bachelor’s of Fine Arts and a minor in Physiology from the University of Arizona, crowned with a dance scholarship as well as an academic scholarship– lies a remarkable journey. Aged just 14, she dazzled on America’s Got Talent, seizing top 12 among 75,000 exceptional competitors. Halle radiates boundless energy and an unwavering passion for both the arts and medicine. Adored by her dance students and peers alike, her influence extends far beyond our spa’s walls. As she paves her path towards a promising medical career, Halle continues to share her love for dance by teaching at a local studio, Rise Up Dance Company.

Throughout my career, I have gained extensive knowledge and hands-on experience in a wide range of non-invasive procedures, cosmetic procedures, and advanced laser treatments. My goal is to provide personalized treatments that cater to my clients unique needs, ensuring optimal results and their utmost satisfaction. I prioritize building strong relationships based on trust, open communication, and genuine care by listening attentively to my clients concerns and goals. Certified Laser Technician and Phlebotomist

Hi, My name is Katlyn. I first became a licensed phlebotomist in 2018 and worked as a Medical Assistant in a Medspa. Being in that atmosphere, focused on the aesthetics of the skin, allowed me the opportunity to see firsthand what technology was able to accomplish. Seeing the change in not only people’s appearance but in their confidence led me to become a certified Laser Technician. I have found my passion and love what I am doing.
