What is Radio Frequency Microneedling?

Radiofrequency microneedling (RF microneedling) is a skin rejuvenation treatment to trigger collagen and provide radiofrequency energy to improve skin texture tone. The combination of RF and microneedling also improves skin tone and texture, addresses fine lines and wrinkles, decreases acne scars, and improves laxity.

The treatment is designed to create controlled microdamage or tiny wounds in your skin that provoke a wound healing response.

We find that aging and environmental damage – particularly sun damage – causes the skin’s structural proteins to be depleted and be replaced at a slower rate. RF microneedling gives the biological process of cell renewal a way to create new collagen and elastin.

Benefits of Radio Frequency Microneedling?

RF with microneedling stimulates repair responses in your skin to replace damaged elastic tissues and collagen. After a series of about three or four treatments, you will see a firmer, brighter, and smoother complexion.

RF microneedling provides a dramatic change that has better results than traditional microneedling or radiofrequency treatments alone. The combination of these two technologies boosts their effectiveness.

Microneedling provides delivery of radiofrequency energy into your skin, where collagen-producing cell life begins. The radiofrequency energy increases the level of controlled wounds that microneedles give.

Microneedling creates a degree of damage that triggers rejuvenation but adding radio frequency to microneedling adds much more. The immune response is stimulated to a higher degree, and in return, a higher collagen repair response is triggered.

Results of RF with microneedling can last for one or even two years. It all depends on you and your aesthetician. You could see improvements for longer depending on what area is being treated. Suppose you are treating acne scars; improvements may last many years. Photodamage and skin aging may not last as long, but you could see improvement for up to a year if you use the proper skincare plans.

Microneedling with radiofrequency is a safe treatment and only has temporary side effects. If you do see pin prick marks on your skin, these will fade quickly within two weeks. When done correctly, RF and microneedling cause only controlled microdamage to your skin.

What is microblading?

Microblading is a cosmetic procedure that involves using a semi-permanent tattoo technique to achieve the appearance of fuller and precisely shaped eyebrows.

Unlike a tattoo, microblading uses a manual, handheld tool with tiny needles at the end to create the shape of a small blade (a microblade).

How does microblading work?

Before the procedure, a licensed technician will hold a consultation during which you’ll discuss how natural or bold you want your eyebrows to look. They will analyze your natural eyebrow color, your skin tone and other facial features to determine what will best complement your face.

The technician will use an eyebrow pencil to create an outline of your desired brow shape. After cleaning and applying a numbing cream to the eyebrow area, the technician will dip the microblading tool into the pigment and make tiny cuts resembling eyebrow hairs within the natural brow.

Once the technician finishes making strokes in the first eyebrow, they will smear the pigment over the entire eyebrow and let it set while they repeat the process on the second eyebrow.

When the entire process is done, the technician will remove the smeared pigment to reveal thicker, fuller, more precisely shaped eyebrows.

Healing time after microblading?

It usually takes seven to 14 days for the pigment to settle into the outermost layer of skin and for that skin to heal. However, deeper layers of the epidermis continue rebuilding for several weeks after the procedure.

How long does microblading last?

While microblading is similar to a tattoo, the results are not permanent like a tattoo is. The fine lines made to create realistic results cause the pigment to fade over 1 to 3 years.

If you notice the pigment in your eyebrows fading (usually after a year), you can schedule a touch-up appointment.

What is KYBELLA®?

KYBELLA® is used to permanently diminish small pockets of fat on the body such as a double chin, bra bulges, inner thigh fat, and belly fat.

How does KYBELLA® work?

As explained on the KYBELLA® website, “The active ingredient in KYBELLA® is synthetic deoxycholic acid. Deoxycholic acid is a naturally occurring molecule in the body that aids in the breakdown and absorption of dietary fat. When injected into the fat beneath the chin, KYBELLA® destroys fat cells, resulting in a noticeable reduction in fullness under the chin. Once destroyed, these cells can no longer store or accumulate fat, so further treatment is not expected once you reach your desired aesthetic goal.”

How much does KYBELLA® cost?

You will need at least 2-4 treatments of KYBELLA®, spaced 4-6 weeks apart, for optimum results. Average amount used is 1-3 vials per treatment.

When will I see results from KYBELLA®?

Noticeable results are visible in 60-90 days.

How long do results last from KYBELLA®?

When injected into fat under the chin, KYBELLA® causes the destruction of fat cells. Once destroyed, those cells cannot store or accumulate fat. After reaching your desired aesthetic, further treatment is not expected

What is IPL - Intense Pulse Laser?

IPL is a non-invasive treatment that reduces the appearance of sun damage, redness, post inflammatory pigmentation and provides more youthful looking skin by simulating collagen and elastin.

How does IPL work?

IPL uses  light energy to target a certain color in your skin and to deliver a more youthful and radiant looking appearance.

IPL safely admits light into the skin to help break down the melanocytes that cause uneven pigmentation and helps regenerate new healthier cells.
